1. A design for life

I was talking to Brandon in my bedroom. He was telling me that his brother was in a band and that they said their biggest influence was the Manic Street Preachers, so he (Brandon) had been listening to them a lot and didn’t like them. He was making fun of them, but I don’t remember exactly how. I said that I thought they were wimpier than they should have been, and pretty boringly homogenous for the most part, but that they had a few songs I used to like a lot. I wasn’t sure if I would still like them if I listened to them now, though.

Brandon was particularly making fun of the lead singer. We weren’t using his name, but I think James Dean Bradford and Matt Dillon were the same person, because he said that it would be really funny to watch To Die For because he was in it. And then he started talking about how it would also be funny to see how annoying Joaquin Phoenix was in that movie. I said I really liked To Die For and that Joaquin Phoenix was actually really good in it. And then I wanted to say that there was also a really hot scene in it where he’s getting a blow job from Nicole Kidman, and that that scene always really turns me on even though I generally am not at all into him. But there was some kind of force that was preventing me from saying it. I’m not sure if it was internal or external. Then I woke up with a start, half an hour before my alarm went off.
